Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the LadderOne website and app. LadderOne is a trading style of Havlo Ltd, registered in England and Wales. By using LadderOne you agree to these terms.

1. What LadderOne does

LadderOne helps you understand how ready you are to buy a home and gives you a plan to get there. Scores, estimates, timelines and plans are based on the answers you give us and on general assumptions. They are guidance, not an offer or a guarantee of credit.

2. Not financial advice

Our home-buying and mortgage-readiness tools are for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute mortgage or financial advice. Where you choose to speak with an adviser, regulated mortgage advice is provided by an appropriately authorised mortgage adviser regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Our advisers do not recommend or select a broker or lender for you, and mortgage eligibility and approval remain subject to individual circumstances and lender criteria.

3. Your account

You need a verified email address to use the app. Keep your password safe and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You must give accurate information; results based on inaccurate answers may be misleading.

4. Membership

Some features need a paid membership. Prices, and the period each payment covers, are shown before you pay. If your membership renews automatically, the card you saved is charged at the start of each new period until you turn renewal off, which you can do at any time in the app; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Otherwise your membership ends when the period you paid for runs out, and you can renew it in the app. Payments are processed by SumUp.

5. Advisers and third parties

If you choose to share your snapshot with a mortgage adviser, the adviser is responsible for any advice they give you. Links to third-party services are for information only; we do not control or endorse them, and their own terms apply.

6. This website

Information on this website is general and may change. We work to keep it accurate but cannot guarantee it is complete or up to date. Joining the waitlist or newsletter does not create an account or commit you to anything.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse LadderOne, try to access other people’s data, interfere with the service or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Liability

We work hard to keep LadderOne accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on LadderOne’s guidance. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Your Data in the app. We may close accounts that break these terms. Deleting your account cancels any membership.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions about these terms? Email hello@ladderOne.com.
